Election Day 2020

The other day a pundit on cable news correctly stated that “if anyone says they Know what’s going to happen on Tuesday they have NO idea what they’re talking about”. I could not agree more.

So, let me show off my ignorance. I do know one thing for certain… at around 10PM Tuesday night President Trump will declare victory, apparently as of this writing at a celebratory White House event, regardless of the true tally, Hatch Act and certification protocols.  This action will enable him to establish ‘home court advantage’, in other words it will be up to Joe Biden to prove that he beat an incumbent president ripping a page from the Bush 2000 playbook when Al Gore conceded to George Bush only to then reverse his call.

But guessing the rest of the night by applying the scientific approach of connecting the proverbial dots, Trump will claim his win based on vote count that day. He will pronounce that counting any other votes, specifically by mail is tainted with fraud and should be thrown out. He has been setting up this strategy over the course of several months. That is why he has been appealing to his base to vote in person on November 3rd.

Then the embattled president will call upon Attorney General Barr to throw the entire election into the courts hoping the McConnell judge-stuffing will bore fruition, while coaching his supporters to agree that rampant voter fraud in fact occurred thus dominating the argument over the Thanksgiving table (if there is one).

Then, one of 2 scenarios will play out. If the vote is close, channeling the 2000 presidential, the Supreme court will ultimately vote on a straight party line and Trump will be reelected. If it is a landslide victory for Biden, the Supreme Court will punt, and Biden will be the 46th president of the United States.

So, you all know what you need to do.

The only question after scenario 2 will be if Trump’s supporters heed his call to react, and if so, how severe.
